There has been some VERY exciting paint news this week that I had to feature here on the blog. First, two iconic British brands - Farrow & Ball and Liberty - have collaborated to create an edit of 15 perfectly-paired fabrics and paint colours. Shades from the Farrow & Ball archive collection have been revived to complement the new Modern Collector range of interior fabrics. Selected by experts from both brands, this partnership of fabric & paint combinations aims to help customers decide on a beautifully cohesive home decor scheme.

While the archive colours were always available to purchase directly from Farrow & Ball, there was not an option to obtain a tester pot of the colour. Now, you can buy some very pretty 100ml sample pots, each printed with one of three patterns and six colourways from the Modern Collector range.

Joa Studholme, Farrow & Ball’s colour curator, said: “Each of our Archive colours is greatly treasured – many customers consider them hidden jewels, which makes them very appealing. Others take comfort in knowing that a favourite colour used to decorate one’s home years ago is still readily available today. Each one is as loved now as when it was first created.”

To celebrate the curated edit, Liberty have selected some beautiful homeware pieces that accompany the paint and fabric combinations. Check out their edit over on their website.

The second exciting paint announcement from the week comes from deVOL - the iconic British kitchen company. Paint by deVOL takes 12 of their cult kitchen cabinet colours and makes them available in both furniture paint and matt emulsion. The water-based paint colours were previously only available to deVOL customers purchasing one of their designer kitchens, so the introduction of their paint range allows the opportunity for fans of their exclusive shades to inject the famous ‘Refectory Red’ or ‘Clerkenwell Blue’ into their homes.

The furniture paint has an authentic satin sheen which is perfect for traditional furniture and interior joinery, whilst the emulsion - for use on walls and ceilings - has a dead flat matt finish.
