Little Greene Release 8 New National Trust Wallpaper Designs For 2024

This month, British paint and wallpaper brand Little Greene release their fourth collection of wallpapers derived from National Trust properties in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. National Trust Papers IV features eight new designs that have been inspired and adapted from patterns found at several of the National Trust’s historic houses (apart from one design, Great Ormond Street, which has been recoloured and revived from the Little Greene archive).
Wallpaper: Aderyn – Olive Colour. Paint: Sage Green, Obsidian Green and Olive Colour, all Little Greene.
Available in 42 different colourways, this fourth instalment of wallpapers continues to celebrate historic British home decor, with the prints featuring exotic birds, stylised florals and scrolling trails, alongside ditsy print florals and large-scale tropical murals.

Little Greene’s Creative Director, Ruth Mottershead, says “Working with the National Trust to uncover and revive these incredible historic designs is a real honour for us all at Little Greene. Designs within this collection date back to 1770, yet still endure, feeling fresh and relevant today”.

It was only last January that Little Greene issued National Trust Papers III, featuring their Bird & Bluebell mural (created from remaining fragments of wallpaper found at Felbrigg Hall in Norfolk), a design that I decorated my own living room in. The paper was of fantastic quality and I am forever being complimented on how it looks. From National Trust Papers IV, my favourite designs include Spring Flowers (a small-scale floral print that would work perfectly in a little girl’s bedroom), Bamboo Floral (it has a slightly vintage style about it that really sings in the blue colourway) and Great Ormond Street (a classic Little Greene wallpaper design featuring a bird motif, reimagined in a brown and green colourway).
