My Bow-Themed Christmas Tree: The Big Christmas Decor Trend For 2023

As far as Christmas decorating trends go, 2023 can definitely be labelled as the year of ribbons and bows! Bow-adorned trees are one of the key looks for Christmas this festive season, so I decided to have a go at creating my own bow and ribbon tree at home!

Using bows rather than baubles has really changed the look of my tree - it feels a lot more glamorous and delicate in its design! I purchased a number of velvet rolls of ribbon online in vintage blue, tan brown, burgundy, green and pink and hand-tied them all before threading some florist wire around the back to secure them to the tree. To avoid the tree looking too cutesy, I made the bows small and left the ribbons hanging long so they draped the tree and looked more sophisticated. I also added a bit of angel hair into the mix to accentuate the bows, alongside some paper hanging decorations in colours that matched the ribbons.

I covered the entire tree and I am so happy with the result! It is totally different to any tree that I have decorated previously for Christmas and I really love the effect of all the pretty colours of ribbon.
