Have A Grown Up Valentine's Day With Tea & Handcrafted Biscuits

In the 10+ years that my husband and I have been together, we have never celebrated Valentine's Day. Yep, that's right. No soppy cards to each other, no red roses, no date night on Valentine's Day.

Shortly after we became an item, my husband declared how he detested Valentine's with the words "I don't need card companies to dictate to me when and how I should express my feelings." To be honest, I agreed with him. Valentine's Day, with it's tacky heart-clutching teddy bears, overpriced flowers and the over-booked, set-menu restaurant dates just had no appeal.

Yet as we have got older, with a toddler zapping our energy, work taking up any spare time, and exhausted evenings spent sitting miles apart on the sofa (dog spread out between us) individually playing on our phones (me: Instagram, him: gaming), Valentine's Day reminds us we really do need to just take time out for each other - even if only for one day!

On Valentine's Day this year, the husband and I will sit down and tuck into this beautiful box of Biscuiteers Valentine's biscuits, with a cup of tea, and just enjoy each others company for ten minutes.

Combining two of our other loves (me: the handcrafted, him: food), these biscuits are the perfect grown up way for us to celebrate Valentine's Day.

Hand-iced in London, each biscuit in the tin is unique and can even be personalised with your own message. Biscuiteers are also offering £5 off your first order!

How will you be spending Valentine's Day this year? Do you hand make or craft anything for Valentine's?
