Christmas Tree Inspiration: My Maximalist Christmas Tree Decor For 2025
With my last two Christmas trees going viral and receiving press this year in Good Housekeeping and Elle Decor, the pressure was on for this year’s Christmas tree! However, while Christmas trees decorated with bows and trees adorned in ribbon are still really on trend, for 2025, I wanted to do something different.
My popular bow tree from 2023.
My colourful ribbon tree with orange slices from 2024.
I came across a bunch of fresh pink sprayed fern in a local food store, with that being the starting point for being inspired to decorate my tree this year in flowers. Once I had placed in all of the pink fern, I also added some burgundy fern, faux blackberries, plus dried pink gypsophila. I then wrapped the tree in rusty red and plum-coloured velvet ribbon and added my favourite hanging bauble decorations and LED candles from Søstrene Grene. Once done, my ‘Marie Antoinette’ tree for 2025 was complete!
Last year, I made some red and white candy striped bows. This year, as my favourite colour combo has been blue and brown, I made a bow for the top of the tree from a new striped fabric by Sophia Frances Studio that I discovered at Decorex .
If you’d like to make a bow like this for the top of your own tree, I have a step-by-step tutorial - just click this link on how to make a bow.
I now just have one more piece of decorating to do before Christmas - my wreath! Come back next week to see what I make…
