On My Radar: 7 Favourite Home & Gift Finds For September 2025
I haven’t posted a round-up of favourite finds on the blog for a while, and as September tends to be the month that lots of new bits and pieces appear in the countdown to Christmas, I thought I would share some of the interior inspiration that I have saved recently. From perfect choice paint colours, ceramics from independent makers to brilliant high street buys, here is a list of all my best bits for the month.
Paint Colour: Tawny by Edward Bulmer (used perfectly by Deorling Interior Design Studio)
I’ve followed Jessica Elizabeth Horton on Instagram for ages, from when she executed the most incredible renovation of her North London home, to setting up her own interior design studio, Deorling Interior Design. This week, she posted her latest project - a South London home with the living room colour drenched in ‘Tawny’ by Edward Bulmer Paint. It was just the most perfect choice for this space; neutral, but with yellow/brownish undertones, it has a character all of its own. It appears like a soft suede on the walls and milky on the custom joinery, all while pairing beautifully with the red doorways. It’s made me desperate to repaint my own sitting room in the shade and to ask Jessica to redesign my whole house.

Kew Christmas Cards by Studio Spelling
Never have I been organised enough to buy Christmas cards in December, but with Studio Spelling launching an exclusive collaboration with Kew Gardens, I placed my order fast; last year’s partnership with Fortnum & Mason sold out instantly.
Artist Rachel Spelling paints miniatures on paint charts and the result is just so magical. I’ve loved her work for a long time, and this set of 14 cards featuring 24 festive illustrations inspired by Kew are full of charm and nostalgia. The only problem is that I won’t want to give any of the cards away come Christmas!

Riley Block Geometric Rug by Dunelm
There’s always a ‘mega find’ to be had at Dunelm, and I was delighted when I stumbled upon this Riley Rug. Featuring a palette of lilac, orange, ochre and burgundy, the geometric pattern has a modern, Scandinavian appeal. I’ve seen similar designs for a lot more money, so this is an absolute steal.
Swan Mugs by Ali Hewson
Always a sucker for ceramics, I spotted these hand-painted swan mugs by independent ceramicist Ali Hewson, and I thought they were just beautiful. Created on a wheel-thrown cup in Ali’s Norfolk studio, these mugs are made to order, so place yours ready for Christmas.
GP & J Baker Lampshade Collection
Pooky Lights have collaborated with GP & Baker for a second time on a capsule collection of four new lampshade designs, and this is probably my favourite Pooky collection yet. The red aqua Tuffley shade with pink edging features a lovely coral pattern that feels both modern and traditional.
George at ASDA Ochre-striped towels
Don’t be fooled by the picture - I purchased these striped towels from ASDA myself and the colouring is just perfect. Again, it’s another great high-street purchase that looks like it’s more high-end!

Fermoie wallpaper
A new collection featuring ten designs, this Fermoie wallpaper caught my eye as it looks like a fabric wallpaper, but instead, Fermoie have used tones and colours to recreate the twill of their base cloth to create a fabric-like effect. I love the end result; I think it would look great in a plain, small room to make it feel cosy and visually interesting.
