11 Of The Best Sophisticated Pink Paint Colours For Grown Up Homes
Interior design: @bureautempo; Image credit: @alexlesage_ Colour: Dead Salmon by Farrow & Ball.
I went off pink paint colours for a while after the whole ‘Millennial Pink’ trend saw a swathe of pink rooms everywhere you looked, but I’m definitely coming back around to using the shade in my home in combination with all the warm, earthy tones we are seeing rising in popularity for 2026.
The key to choosing a pink paint colour, in my humble opinion, is to make sure that it is a sophisticated, grown up pink, and not a sickly sweet pastel tone more associated with a kids room. Dusky pinks and sunset pinks with hints of brown, burnt orange, spicy reds and ochre in the pigmentation are a great alternative to neutral tones, as they can still feel light while also providing colour.
As I plan to redecorate my home office in the next month or two in an appealing pink hue, I’ve been looking into the best pink paint colours for grown up homes.
1. Dead Salmon by Farrow & Ball
This deep salmon pink colour has been around for a while, but it is still one of the best pink paint colours going. A versatile shade, it looks good in any room of the home.

3. Mink by Paint & Paper Library
I discovered this pink when I picked up a tester pot for another room in my home and was instantly drawn to this interesting shade with light brown undertones. A great pink that works well alongside chestnut reds.

A pink-tinged beige, this neutral has a dash of vermillion red pigment to give it its pinky tone. A good pink to try if you are a little scared of bringing pink into your home.

7. Pudding by COAT
Another pink-tinged beige, Pudding has a plaster-like tone and features a touch of grey in its mix which makes it a little colder than the other pinks featured in this top ten, but it’s a good choice if you want to dip into using pink without your walls ‘being pink’.

This reddish brown pink tone from artisan paint brand Atelier Ellis is exceptionally warm and would look good in smaller, compact rooms as well as large dining spaces. A natural and breathable paint brand, you can order online or visit their showroom in Bath.
