Paint Colour Trends For 2027: Little Greene Launch 26 New Colours — *Brûlée: a new vibrant yellow*

As a lover of colour, there’s nothing that excites me more than the release of some new paint shades. I spend hours pouring over paint colour cards and fan decks when trying to decide what shade I next want to use in my home, so knowing that I have a few new options to try out fills me with glee.

I also find the release of new paint colours quite interesting from a trends point of view. New hues would have been developed based upon what’s selling well and what’s being requested from interior designers and tastemakers, so it’s an interesting insight into what interior colour schemes we will see going forward into 2027.

It’s no secret that Little Greene are one of my favourite paint brands. I’ve recently used them in my summerhouse and home office, as well as previously painting my bedroom and my hallway using their colours. A family-run business that manufactures in the UK, their paints contain 40% more pigment than many ordinary paints, so each shade always has a good depth to it.

This September, Little Greene have added 26 new shades to their ‘Colours of England’ and ‘Colour Scales’ collections (two separate paint cards that come as a pack). There’s a mix of brand new colours alongside four existing shades that have been transformed into a Colour Scales family (meaning that you can choose paler or darker versions of the original hue). Hammock, Celestial Blue, Boxington and Barge Stone have been extended to include lighter and deeper tones of the initial hues, making it easier to select a complementary colour when decorating a room in the shade (for example, Hammock-Pale would be the perfect ceiling shade if Hammock or Hammock-Deep adorned the walls).

Out of the brand new tones, it’s Flight Pink (which appears like the most perfect deep pinky-brown hue and excites me as there aren’t many darker pink-brown shades around), Perpetual Blue (a warm and lovable blue; I expect this to be one of their new best-selling colours) and Elysian Yellow (a muddy yellow shade that is bang on trend) that stand out to me the most.
