Pink kitchen inspiration: A charming pink vintage kitchen by deVOL

I wanted to share this pink kitchen on the blog today because I think it is an excellent example of making pink kitchen cabinets work in a way that is both stylish and timeless.

Pink kitchens have become really popular in the past five years, but I’ve found most of them feel a little too trend-led or lacking sophistication. However, this pink kitchen in Tring - made by British kitchen brand deVOL - is a masterclass on how to make a pink kitchen work. It feels grown up, elegant, and ageless.

What I think is the secret to its success is not only the Princelet pink paint colour (one of deVOL’s own paint shades), which has a dusky, romantic feel to it, but the fact that the space feels vintage in style: the soft pink cabinets are paired with creamy yellow-tinged walls rather than starker white, while a decadent chandelier hangs over the island (rather than more commonly found single drop pendants). The cornicing is detailed and fanciful, while the styling compliments the fittings, with vintage art displayed casually on the open shelving above the sink.

To break up the pink, the island is painted in Folgate Green - a new muddy green paint colour from deVOL that adds a subtle difference to the space rather than being the star of the show. The wood-effect floor also does well to warm up the bright and light room that features two floor-length windows.
