My Exclusive Bouquet Design For Your London Florist

At the start of the dried flower floral trend, I wrote a piece on where you could buy dried flowers to style in your home. In that post I included Your London Florist - a modern, London-based floristry team that are always ahead of the flower trends curve. Their studio is quite local to me, so I’d often visit to buy blooms and we followed each other on Instagram. In the past year, I’ve tried to branch out a bit with my DIY home floral decor. I’ve started using a flower frog over foam and created seasonal displays out of faux flowers at Easter, then there was the DIY flower arch that took me two days and nearly killed me in the process. I love flowers as part of interior design, and YLF was kind enough to ask me if I wanted to create a bespoke bouquet that would be sold as part of their Cheer Up Thursday range (an idea YLF had in lockdown to sell one-off, lower-priced bouquets to brighten up the home while we were all stuck in it). Of course, I jumped at the chance, and this week the Melanie bouquet is available to purchase online and in-store!

I spent one day this week at the floral studio working with the team to create and design a bouquet that completely reflected my style. The colours I chose you’ll find throughout my home (lavender, soft pinks, burgundy and chocolate browns) and I included some of my favourite flowers: ranunculus, lilac and bunny tails. Around a quarter of the bouquet is dried as I always think it is nice to be able to keep part of it when the fresh flowers naturally come to an end. It also includes two Quicksand Roses that have been ‘flexed’ (teased and curved so they change shape and are full and abundant).

The Melanie bouquet is available from Thursday 26th January 2022 and retails at £40. It can be ordered online or by calling the store and delivery is available across the whole of the UK.
